One of the domain areas we are working with is health. Our work examines the use of ICT for improving health and welbeing of people, and how to succeed in value co-creation with connected health services. Connected health combines state-of-the-art technologies, tools, methodologies, and analytics to create a new health management model by connecting people and actionable information in a health care system that gathers, links, interprets, and consolidates information from various sources.
Currently, our research focuses on:
- personalization of health services. We examine how digital health services can better adapt to the specific needs of the people in the specific environment they are operating. (contact person: Olli Korhonen)
- ownership of health data. Empowering people to take an active role in health services by making health data better available, accessible and actionable. (contact person: Casandra Grundstrom)
- visualizations for social influence. How can we harness the power of social influence in health behaviour support with the help of visualizations of social data? (contact person: Vasiliki Mylonopoulou)
- value co-creation models. How can we evaluate the value of connected health services? How can we come up with value co-creation models where value is created from increasing health? (contact person: Michael Persson)
We are working on these topics with the CHESS project and ENJECT network of connected health researchers in Europe.
