My research focuses on SportsHCI (Sports Human-Computer Interaction), Human-Centered Design, and Digital Transformation in sports. Using disc golf as a case study, I investigate how digital technologies, applications, and data can improve learning, participation, performance, and user experience.

My doctoral research aims to develop a SportsHCI framework and design principles that support the creation of meaningful and user-centered sports technologies. In parallel, I study how digital transformation reshapes relationships, values, and stakeholder roles across sports ecosystems.

To support this work, I founded Disc Golf Lab at the University of Oulu, where sports technologies are studied, tested, and developed in collaboration with athletes, organizations, students, and industry partners.
