SmartCanvas is an installation that can be used to take a picture of oneself and make it look like a painting. The aim of the installation is to bring a joyful interactive art experience to the people at the university campus. The expected users of this installation are all people visiting or working at the university premises: students, teachers, other staff members, and any other people visiting the university.
The installation is in its prototype phase and it has been showcased in Tellus this spring (2022).
The development of this application has so far used student projects in two degree programs:
- Information Processing Science
- Computer Science and Engineering
In these developments INTERACT has been collaborating with Smart Campus at the University of Oulu.
