I am a doctoral researcher in Information Processing Science (Faculty of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering) and am currently working in the project “Smart Communication: The situated practices of mobile technology and lifelong digital literacies”. The focus of my research is on the social aspect of collocated and collaborative technology (particularly, smartphones) use among “digital natives”, i.e. young people who have been using technology since childhood. Data for this project include video recordings of naturally occurring interaction involving the use of smartphones. My other research interests include interaction with artificial conversational agents and interaction in video games. I use ethnomethodology and multimodal conversational analysis in my research.
